Redford Safe & Lock was founded in 1973 by Jack Bates, who brought extensive experience from the safe industry. The company has since grown through the acquisition of several other local lock and safe businesses, including Cutler Safe & Lock, Mt Clemens Lock & Key, Dearborn Safe & Lock, Rick’s Eastside, and Mikey’s Lock & Key. It is now owned and managed by Jack’s son Alan and grandson Aaron, continuing as a family-owned enterprise. They offer a wide range of services including general locksmithing, safe moving, safe opening and repair, and on-site service. Their expertise extends to residential and commercial locks, rekeying, key cutting, key originating, and key duplication. Redford Safe & Lock also provides a variety of products such as Grade 1-3 locks, door hardware like exit devices and door closers, new, used, and antique safes, padlocks, hardened chains, and master keyed systems. Serving the local Michigan area, Redford Safe & Lock prides itself on its long-standing history and commitment to customer service, leveraging decades of experience in the safe and lock industry.
